Greetings,
In Ge 5:24, the scripture reads, “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
In the time in which Enoch was taken by God the world was in a mess. Human life had been corrupted to its core to the point that God had to bring the flood in order to begin the human race over again.
It was in the midst of this corrupt world that Enoch came on the scene.
Enoch was an exception. Heb 11:5 says, “for before he was taken he had this testimony, that HE PLEASED GOD”.
I do not believe that the world is as corrupt as it was in Enoch’s time, but even if it was we would still have an awesome opportunity to live a life that is pleasing to our Father.
Jesus, being our example declares, “I always do those things that please Him.” John 8:29.
One of the great joys of walking with God is knowing that we have the capacity to please Him, not fear Him as one would some creature in the dark, but bring joy to Him through our worship in living with Him by our side.
Today reflect on the fact that God is smiling on you saying, “this is My child in whom I am well pleased”.
Living life with you,
PB
