Greetings,
I read this recently and was reminded of a wonderful truth:
A little boy and girl were singing their favorite Christmas carol in church the Sunday before Christmas.
The boy concluded “Silent Night” with the words, “Sleep in heavenly beans.”
“No,” his sister corrected, “not beans, peas.”
In our attempt to do the right thing we often fall short and make a mistake. We wonder if the grace of God is there for us when we should have done better.
I do believe that we cannot have a successful Christian life if we live in a state of continually refusing to walk the right way, but it is when we miss it that we most need grace extended toward us.
God is ever ready to extend that grace even when we should have/could have done better. Knowing how much we need His grace extended to us should continually be a reminder of how we are to extend grace to those who have treated us wrong.
In this Christmas season, be a big-time grace extender. The rewards are yours to grow in.
Love to all,
PB
