Greetings to all:
Have you noticed that many, many people are looking for ways to be noticed? Companies spend millions to highlight themselves above their competitors; they will do just about anything to be noticed among the maze of companies offering similar products. But this desire goes beyond the corporate world.
Most people have this desire to be noticed as well. Have you ever done something worthwhile and felt let down when no one even noticed it, or worse, gave the credit to someone else?
Facebook is inundated with pictures that scream out “look at me, look at me, notice me!” While it is not wrong to want to be noticed, it is wrong to be looking to the world for our sense of value.
Recently I had a dream in which I helped bring freedom to some people. After helping them, someone came to me and told me that these people were very grateful for their freedom but they gave the credit to someone else. I felt snubbed and upset.
In the dream the Lord spoke to me these words, “If I Am the only One who notices, would that be enough for you?” As I woke from the dream, I realized how we often look to others to see who’s watching, forgetting that we have the Creator of all things taking note of every thing we do. In Genesis 16:13 Hagar gives God the name, “You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees”.
In Psalm 139:1-2 King David writes:
“O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.”
God is watching everything; He notices everything you do. He takes notice of that good deed that was overlooked by others. Rejoice in knowing that no good thing goes unnoticed by God.
Love to all…pb
