Greetings,
Many years ago when I was a young farmer, I had a great dream of how farming would provide the perfect environment for raising a family and honouring God with a lifestyle of devotion to Him.
When my dream began to crash I began desperately looking for a way to be redeemed from the mess I’d gotten myself and my family into.
It soon became clear that we would lose our farm and home.
In the midst of this time of turmoil I went from trying to save the farm to looking for ways to stabilize my own peace of mind.
Although I looked to others around me for comfort, there wasn’t really anyone that could help settle my confusion.
I eventually realized that the only One who could bring deliverance was God. His Word was and is the most stabilizing factor in my life.
In a time of darkness in my life, His word brought light and gave me the hope to continue believing things could improve.
His Word is brought to us in many ways. It may be through a fellow believer, through a teaching, or through His love demonstrated through another individual. Most importantly, though, it comes through His Spirit that speaks to us while reading and meditating on His Word.
No matter what you are going through this day, Jesus words are still Spirit and they are Life.
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer 29:11
God decrees that there is always hope, no matter what happens to us.
This is a time to decree God’s word. Join us at Faithworks Centre this February as we decree His word together.
Love to all,
P.B.
