Jesus made a statement that the disciples could have responded to, in today’s vernacular, with “duh”. That statement was “in this world you will have trouble…”
The sudden entrance into this world through the birth canal would suggest that living in this world will have its difficulties. But that is only part of the verse in John 16:33:
“In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
Everyone knows that living in this world we experience lots of troubles, many of which we never thought would happen to us as young people. But not everyone knows the One who can bring peace into our troubled situation.
The key to living an exciting life in a troubled world is to know the One who has overcome every negative situation that the world throws at us.
Sunday we will speak about the overcoming power of Jesus which is able to make anyone an overcomer.
Love to all,
