Greetings to all:

The first thing that got my attention when I started to seek God as an unbeliever was the words I read from the Bible. It was the Word of God that started me on a path to eternal life. I began with the Word.

John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Most all theologians agree that the Word referred to here is our Lord Jesus. Everything begins with the Word. One way or another, the word of God is what opens our hearts to understand that there is a better way to live than what the world has to offer.

In the very first words of the Bible we read, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Then in Genesis 1:3 we read how God spoke the world as we know it into existence. God used His Word to create the operating system of life on the earth.

It is important to note that “in the beginning” does not denote the beginning of God. God always existed, therefore “in the beginning” speaks of the beginning of the world. In speaking about the beginning of the world you could say “God began the beginning”.

God spoke light into existence, He set the sun in its place by His word, He set the boundaries for the oceans with His word; in fact, everything of the earth was created by His word.

Now that we see how powerful and fruitful God’s word is, as believers we must ask ourselves what would happen if we spoke God’s word concerning the situations we are dealing with? I mean, what does God’s word say about my situation? If it is a financial situation?

Jesus said “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). If we read the previous verses we would see that “all these things” is talking about the things we need for our daily living. Are we seeking His Kingdom first? His word is what releases Kingdom provision into our lives.

Jesus said “the words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life” (John 6:63). God’s word is the source of life. As you read it, listen to it, sing it; life is being imparted to you.

You know how powerful your words can be. With them you can instil into a child confidence, a sense of worth, or destiny, or you can tear them to shreds.

Imagine the grace that can be imparted by speaking God’s word over the things you want blessed.

Take advantage of this most powerful resource to develop all God has called you to be.

Love to all…pb
