Greetings to all:

Motorcycle groups have what they call a “patch”. This patch identifies them as being a member of their group. It doesn’t matter if it is an outlawed group like Hell’s Angels or a Christian group like “The Tribe of Judea”, the patch is what identifies the group they belong to.

The patch also speaks of what they stand for. In the mind of the biker one of the worst things that a member could do is bring disgrace to the group by not living up to what the patch represents.

Bikers are proud of their group, they are loyal to their group and they support their group. When they enter into this group they are no longer living only for themselves but they are willing to let go of their individualism for the good of the group.

Christians also have a patch. It may not be something as obvious to the natural eye as a piece of fabric on your clothing, but we do carry around a symbol that others can see.

Ephesians 1:13 tells us, “You heard and believed the message of truth, the Good News that he has saved you. In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised.”

The seal of the Holy Spirit is the patch we carry, not always seen by people around us, but in the realm of the spirit this seal shines brighter than any biker’s patch. The more we walk in love and in the character of Christ the greater our light shines.

Scripture tells us that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. This happens as we demonstrate what we carry on the inside, letting others know, by your lifestyle, that you are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

For biker’s honoring their patch, what it represents, is what is most important. In fact, with some gangs, to dishonor the patch could mean death.

There may be circumstances in your life today that make it difficult to display the patch you carry on the inside, but honoring what you have been sealed with will carry you through to greater victory.

You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit; you have been sealed for victory; you have been sealed for Him. Proverbs 28:1 says, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.”

Live right displaying the seal of righteousness and be bold knowing that God is on your side and faith in the Name of Jesus is your victory.

Love to all… pb
