Pastor Bill, my name is Mark. I’m 68, Im presently in Grand Junction, CO. I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I experienced an unwanted divorce two years ago. I’m at a real crossroads in my life needing Gods direction. I have been discouraged and confused to the point of despair, but I came across your website in Gods Providence. I was greatly encouraged by the 4 testimonies I listened to on the church website. I was greatly blessed and encouraged also by your sermon on what do I see when I look in the mirror? I’ve been listening to Satans lies slandering God and slandering me. I have really doubted Gods love, mercy, kindness, and forgiveness on me. I memorize scripture, but I need to speak truth to myself as God sees me not the world. know we are held to a higher standard than those in the OT because we have the Holy Spirit. I have been doubting my relationship with the Lord as John the Baptist did in prison. Like Job, Elijah, Moses, Jonah, David, I have been asking the Lord to take my life. I felt in your sermon the Lord was telling me not to give up but know He cares for His people even me. I am praying the Lord will restore the years the locust have eaten and renew my mind about who I am in Christ and the Fathers love for me in Christ. I was also greatly encouraged to see you still believe God is concerned for the lost and the fields are white unto harvest. It’s wonderful you still believe in the power of prayer, corporate prayer on Wednesday nights. So many churches no longer are serious about prayer, or have corporate prayer, sharing the Gospel, desiring or seeing people brought to Faith in Christ and lives changed. When you read the New Testament and Acts, God used Paul, Silas, they were accused of turning the World upside down. There seems to be a real disconnect from what I read in Acts and the NT and what I see and experience today in church. One longs to see, and experience Gods power to change lives, and change my life, as he changed lives back then. I’m going to listen to more of your sermons. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or think according to the power that works in us to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Please pray I will live out Matthew 6:33, know where God wants me to go, start over, have the faith to trust him. I’m facing some very serious decisions and dealing with a lot of fear and loneliness. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind/ self control. I pray God will continue to richly bless His church there, your ministry to equip His people for ministry, and your faithfulness to evangelize the lost, and outreach in April. God bless you, Mark
