Relationship

The prayer Jesus gave us starts out with “Our Father” – He didn’t say “my” but “our” Father. This term “our” speaks of relationship, it speaks of a group of people who have the same values. A group of people who have the same spiritual heritage.

In referring to us as believers John 17: 21 & 22 Jesus said “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:

The result of verse 21 is found in verse 22 … the Glory will be manifested in us and it will get the attention of the world.

Knowing and loving Jesus through His body causes His body (the church) to demonstrate Who the King is that we serve. And Jesus said in John 12:35 “If I be lifted up I will draw all men to myself.”

To lift up means—to raise to the very summit of opulence and prosperity 2b) to exalt, to raise to dignity & honour.

It is our responsibility to Honour our King in becoming one with Him by becoming one with one another.
